Dear Colleagues, dear “Autophagists”,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the SECOND SWISS AUTOPHAGY WORKSHOP on Monday, September 7th, 2020, organized by the LS2 section Autophagy. We planned again a ONE-DAY event with two great guest speakers and lots of possibilities to discuss autophagy, exchange autophagy protocols and networking.
We choose “Molecular Mechanisms of Autophagy” as a main topic for this workshop, because we wanted to underline the importance of studying molecular details to understand cellular phenotypes and potential implications in diseases.
The deadline for registration and abstract submission is August 21st, 2020. We expect 30-50 participants from Switzerland, including a high percentage of young scientists eager to catch up on the latest autophagy models and research.
Covid-19 restrictions: We are currently planning an onsite meeting. We reserved a seminar room big enough to allow 50 people to meet in person under the current Covid-19 restrictions. As a backup we plan a shorter Zoom meeting and podcasts in case of more stringent Covid-19 restrictions in the future.
We are convinced that this second Swiss Autophagy Workshop will allow for fruitful exchange of ideas, data and reagents among Swiss researchers interested in autophagy.
Moreover, we will gather for the LS2 section autophagy member meeting to discuss past and future actions of our section and to officially announce the new presidency.
