Dr Virginie BRUN is Research Director at the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in Grenoble. She completed her undergraduate studies in Veterinary Medicine and received a PhD in Physiology at the University of Lyon in 2003. Since 2004, she has been active in the field of quantitative proteomics for biomedical studies. Particularly, she has developed proteomics pipelines to characterize bacterial virulence and to phenotype patients through biofluid analysis and biomarker discovery. Between 2017 and 2021, she headed the Exploring the Dynamics of Proteomes (EDyP) laboratory. She’s now Director of Clinatec Division at CEA-Leti, a world-leading institute in microelectronics that tackles critical challenges in healthcare, energy and digital migration. Virginie Brun has contributed to 3 patents and has co-founded the Promise Advanced Proteomics company. She’s the author of 40 publications in the field of biomedical proteomics.
