Swiss Apoptosis Meeting (SAM) 2018

...including a Satellite Meeting for students & postdocs
Bern, Wednesday 12 September 2018 – Friday 14 September 2018

Welcome Note

Dear Friends and Colleagues

It is our immense pleasure to invite you to participate at the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Swiss Apoptosis Meeting (SAM) 2018 in the beautiful city of Bern!

The biennial SAM has gained a great reputation in the cell death and autophagy communities over the years. It is known as an internationally competitive conference, offering great science and excellent networking possibilities. Topics cover all forms of programmed cell death and autophagy, and their roles in health and disease.

The program figures an outstanding list of main speakers and will include numerous selected short talks by students or postdocs as well as poster presentations. The SAM 2018 once more includes a Satellite Symposium addressing specific interests of students and junior scientists.

The deadline for registration and abstract submission is August 12th, 2018.

For this special edition of the SAM, the website and flyer come in a new look but the meeting philosophy stays the same. Since its initiation in the year 2000, a trademark of the SAM has been its free of charge registration, which we are able to keep up in 2018, thanks to the generous support by our sponsors and exhibitors.

We expect up to 200 participants from Switzerland, Europe and overseas, including a high percentage of young scientists. We are convinced that as in previous years the SAM 2018 will be a great success and hope that you will be able to join us!

See you in September in Bern!
