DICTY 2017

International Dictyostelium Conference
1279 Chavannes-de-Bogis, Sunday 20 August 2017 – Thursday 24 August 2017

Antibodies contest

Fortunately recombinant antibodies against Dictyostelium proteins are generated at the Geneva Antibody Facility, and are accessible to the entire community. Pierre’s favorites are anti-Phg1A and anti-Far1 antibodies, Thierry favors anti-VacA. Which one will be your favorite ?

As part of the Dictyostelium annual conference and as a community activity, we propose to select protein targets against which antibodies will be developed by the Geneva Antibody Facility. This activity is supported by our conference sponsors and notably by the University of Geneva.

To make this contest fun and a success, we need to establish a short list of candidate proteins. What would be the most useful antibodies for the Dictyostelium community ? And for YOU ? Send your favorites (with UNIPROT numbers, please) to Wanessa.

We will enjoy a barbecue at the poolside, followed by various animations and a swing dancing exhibition and initiation course (with the dancing teachers Jerôme Cadoret and Ana Barros), enlivened with music by the Lost in Swing music band!
