A look back at SSBS 2025
The Swiss Systems Biology Symposium 2025 took place on June 19, and what a fantastic day it was!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the inspiring talks, parallel sessions, and poster presentations.
A big shoutout to our speakers, session chairs Benjamin Towbin & Charisios Tsiairis, and our generous sponsors for making it all possible!
Special congrats to Prajwal Padmanabha, the winner of the Best Poster prize (sponsored by Nikon)!
Take a look at the photos & highlights of the meeting.
We hope to see you all at the next SSBS!

Welcome Note
Welcome to the Swiss Systems Biology Symposium (SSBS) 2025!
Systems Biology has become a large and vibrant field spanning a wide diversity of research questions. The aim of this meeting is to span the entirety of this field and make new connections within it. To foster the exchange, we want to increase interactions among participants. By hosting parallel sessions, the audience will be kept at a size that enables dynamic discussions during the presentations and maximizes the number of participants that get to present their work.
Parallel session topics will include focal areas and methods in Systems Biology such as: Gene expression, Development, Personalized medicine, Synthetic biology, Microbial systems, Big data, single cell technologies, Theory and modelling, Imaging, New model organisms.
We highly encourage early career scientists to present their work and projects that are still ongoing! There will be plenty of talk slots available for you!
General registration has now closed.
Organizers: Benjamin Towbin (University of Bern) & Charisios Tsiairis (FMI), together with support from LS2 Section Systems Biology
